Natural Gas leaks can be deadly as many of us witnessed today. So what should you do when you suspect or discover one? Your first course of action should be to GET OUT!! If you think gas has entered your home or a building you are in, get everyone outside quickly and get away from the building. If the leak is outside, get away from it and do not enter any structures that may be close by as gas can travel through the ground into a basement. Once you are at a safe distance, call 911. 911 dispatchers will notify the fire department, and the gas company. Remain at a safe distance until emergency responders arrive. Do not re-enter the building for any reason!!!
