After a busy evening consisting of several calls for service, around 4am Co. 63 was requested to provide High Expansion Foam for a stubborn basement fire in the City of Lancaster. Engine 63-2, Squad 63-1 and Foam 63 responded to the 300 block of Pearl St. The “end of the row” home had been burning for several hours and the fire could not be accessed due to some structural failures and major hoarding conditions. Crews from 63 pumped foam into the basement and both the first and second floors essentially filling up the entire home and snuffing all hidden fires. Units were on scene for about an hour. This was the 4th run since midnight for the 63 house with the bulk of our responding members being awake the entire night.
