Today the Lafayette Fire Company received a incredible donation from Garden Spot Frame and Alignment. They purchased for us a six foot “Tready Hook” from T3 Fire Hoox Inc. This new fire service tool was developed by Firefighter, Jeremy Treadway of Plano, Texas. This tool features a dry-wall hook on the top end, but a large ball shape on the bottom. The rounded end will help our “roof position” firefighter on Truck 63 to clear interior ceilings from roof-top ventilation holes without the hook getting caught on debris. Additionally, the tool can be used to breach walls and force doors. This was the 459th hook produced and one of the first in our area. Members will now add an extra wrap for easier grip and then mount it on the truck for immediate use. We can not thank Rob Sample and the crew at Garden Spot Frame and Alignment enough for their generosity. We look forward to continuing a strong working relationship between our organizations.
