At 3:30pm on Saturday, Engine 63-1 was alerted as part of the first alarm assignment to 854 Village Road in the Village of Lampeter for a house fire. The house was located adjacent to Company 54’s quarters. Their station reported a working fire visible from the ramp. Engine 54-2 laid out from the hydrant at their apparatus bay and stretched an attack line into the structure. Engine 63-1 was the second arriving engine. With Engine 54-2’s water supply already secured, Engine 63-1 was parked and the crew advanced a back-up line to the second floor to assist with extinguishment. Once the bulk of the fire was knocked down, crews assisted with overhaul. Company 63 returned to quarters after about 90 minutes.
