At tonight’s business meeting, Fire Chief David Keens made the announcement that Firefighter Dylan Leed has officially been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
Dylan joined the company in April of 2013 at the age of 14. Over the years, Dylan has worked his way through many positions behind the scenes of the fire company. He can often be found staffing the firehouse during his off time. He’s nationally certified Firefighter 1 and 2, Fire Instructor 1, Fire Officer 1 and is currently in EMT. Dylan also runs with Garden Spot Fire Rescue during the week while at work. This helps us because he can gain additional experience that will help him continue to develop as a firefighter. Dylan’s assigned task will be to lead the pre-planning committee as well as formulating company drills and other operational duties. He will have the designation of Lieutenant 63-2.
Congratulations, Lieutenant Leed! The LFC is extremely proud of your progress!
