May 2nd brought another three runs for the LFC Volunteers. The day started with a late morning minor injury accident at S Eastland Drive and Lincoln Highway East. The crew took care of a disconnect and spill control from the vehicle.
Just after arriving back in quarters from the first run, LCWC hailed Engine 63-1 to respond to a second accident on Lincoln Highway East at Greenland Drive. The crew again provided hazard and spill control at this accident which involved a pickup truck hauling an RV trailer versus a dump truck.
Early in the afternoon, Engine 63-1 and Truck 63 were alerted for a fire alarm at the Red Roof Inn on Lincoln Highway East. That alarm proved to be false and units returned without further incident.
