With rainy weather in the Lancaster area on Monday evening, our scheduled outdoor training was postponed. Instead, Firefighter Brett Fassnacht presented a quick drill on how to do CPR on a downed firefighter. The Powerpoint presentation was originally put together and presented by Elizabethtown Firefighter, Jennifer Dinderski. She was gracious enough to share her presentation with us so we could teach our firefighters the same important skill-set.
After the presentation, members proceeded to the apparatus floor to do practical evolutions in the newly learned skill. After that, firefighters pulled our long attack lines across the bay using the apparatus as obstacles and then had to perform the same CPR skill under duress.
Thank you to all that attended a great drill night. Special thanks to Station 74 FF Dinderski for making this possible!
