For the week of March 29th, 2020 through April 5th, 2020, the LFC responded to four calls for service. This is sharp drop-off in activity due to COVID-19 and related restrictions to business and travel.

5:15pm – Inside Investigation – 700 block of Nancy Lane
6:57pm – Vehicle Accident – Route 30 Westbound at Milepost 268.3
Saturday, April 4th
05:18am – House Fire – 1900 block of Pine Drive (Co. 62’s First Due) – Smoke was traced back to a light ballast.
Pictures are from the vehicle accident on Route 30. The accident was reported involving fire. Commissioner 90 (Blue Rock Fire Rescue) came across the accident and reported no fire but the patient possibly being confined. Lancaster City Engine 3 was the first suppression unit to arrive and began to evaluate the patient. They were able to assist the occupant out of the vehicle without having to extricate. Engine 63-1 arrived and took care of spill and hazard control. Engine 62-2 (due as the tanker) arrived and took a blocking position to protect the scene. Crews stood-by while the vehicle was loaded onto the tow truck and finished up some clean up before clearing the highway.
