Sunday morning at 01:56 hours, Truck 63 and Truck 50 (Willow Street) were dispatched to 5360 Lincoln Highway in Gap to assist Station 42 on a commercial structure fire. At 01:10 hours, Gap Fire Rescue was dispatched to the location for an automatic fire alarm. Assistant 42 (Wenger) arrived to find heavy smoke showing from all sides of the building and requested the 1st and 2nd alarms right away. First-in companies found a deep-seeded fire in the storage area of the building with extension into the roof of the structure. This was a very manpower-intensive operation. A 3rd alarm and a total of 7 ladder trucks would be needed to get a handle on the blaze. Truck 63 arrived on location at 02:16 hours and cleared just after 07:00.
